Thrilled to have found your blog . . . as a way to wrap up the week and start the weekend, my wife and I have started a tradition of sorts, Dinner Out on Friday(s) with our two young boys – one soon to be 5; the other almost 4. We too struggle most weeks to find somewhere to eat a good meal and feel at ease with bringing our, mostly well behave, Irish twins. One place we certainly like and feel most welcomed is Ugo in Culver City – – 3865 Cardiff Avenue, Culver City – (310) 204-1222. The kids love the gelato bar.

Also, if you like cooking with your kids you might want to check out this blog – Phyllis Grant is chef/photographer that writes on her experiences on cooking with her kids – Dash 3 and Bella 7.

Check it out! Cheers!

Jessica, thank you for this blog! I’m always looking for new places on the eastside to go with my toddler. I’ve got a lot more on my list now thanks to you.

The GastroTots bags sound fantastic. I’m trying to raise my 2 little ones to be adventurous eater and we are always looking for ways to get beyond mac-n-cheese (even though with truffle oil it can be extra fantastic)!

OMG, this rocks! We go out to dinner constantly with our nearly 5 year old twins. So I can’t wait to read all the posts.
Didn’t see anything about Fresh Brothers Pizza and that’s one of our fav places to eat with the kids. They are totally all about being kid friendly, you can even get hidden veggies in their sauce. They give pizza dough to the kids to play with while they wait, balloons, etc. AND the food is delish and healthy. They have gi-normous salads that are at the very top of my fav salad list, and the best wings I’ve tried. Also, a big gluten-free menu, another plus.
Anyway, I’m sure I’ll have other suggestions as I go and looking forward to trying the ones I find here!!
Here’s to having your kids and eating out too!

Thanks, Lisa! I haven’t been to Fresh Brothers. Always feel free to share any suggestions!

Hi Lee, Thanks for getting in touch. I love the idea of a collaborative blog exchange, but haven’t gotten my act together yet to coordinate that. :)

Hi! What a wonderful blog you have! We own a cafe called Coffee + Food on Melrose and Larchmont and we are winning over the hearts of parents and kids alike. Our coffee is STELLAR, and our food is made fresh daily and includes salads, sandwiches, quiches, lasagna, savory muffins, traditional australian sweets such as lemon slice, lamingtons, and monte carlos.

Hello Jessica, Can you refer me to casual places to eat in the Los Feliz and Atwater area. They don’t have to be family fare, but if they are that is OK. I live in Santa Ana and some times go to Kaiser on Sunset. John

Love this – thank you! It would be awesome if you could have a section that lists your reviews by neighborhood! The map just takes you to an address it doesn’t work too well. Great reviews, though!
