Take a break from meat while getting your burger fix. The Counter custom burgers will give away free mini veggie burgers with any burger purchase to all customers at its 12 Los Angeles area locations on Saturday, October 1, which is World Vegetarian Day. The sandwich comes with provolone, red pepper and Dijon balsamic dressing. Then OD on free veg burgers a couple days later when the Veggie Grill offers gratis new kids’ version of the V-Burger, which is already approved by my kids, on Monday, October 3rd. The modified V-Burger (pictured at right, courtesy of Veggie Grill) is one of the $6.25 kids’ menu options, and includes a patty made from soy, wheat and pea proteins topped with agave ketchup and pickles on a wheat bun. The kids’ burger meals are free for kids 12 and under for the entire day at at all seven, all-veg restaurants. In the case of the Counter, see if they recognize the difference.
