Just as the time has flown by since I made those cupcakes for my eldest son’s first birthday, I almost missed the fact that this week marks Taster Tots’ first anniversary! (Plus my mom gets a happy birthday shout-out today.) A hundred-plus posts later — mostly about restaurants, with some parent interviews, news, events, a couple giveaways, and other stuff in the mix — I’ve just begun to scratch the surface of developing a user-friendly resource for family- and kid-friendly restaurants around Los Angeles. It’s funny to think how much has changed about eating out with my own kids over the past year; some things have become easier as they’ve transitioned from ages 4 to 5 and 1 to 2, while other challenges have presented themselves. Yay! And…sigh. All the reader support is deeply appreciated, and I look forward to building content (and getting through the existing backlog) as I get a bit more free time come this fall. A big thanks to all the food pro parents who have shared their honest insights with us, too.
Here’s a new page of etiquette and attitude Do’s and Don’ts for all sides of the parental divide to consider. Please take a look and lemme know what you think, along with your two cents on other information and tools that would make Taster Tots L.A. more fun and useful.
