L.A. Rocks the Spectrum of Green Foods on St. Paddy’s Day

At Babble L.A. I’ve posted a roundup of St. Patrick’s Day foods that involves a LOT of green. Some of the items sound sweet and cute, while others lean towards the somewhat disturbing side of the kitschy holiday food spectrum.

But given my love for Shamrock Shakes that hasn’t been indulged since a visit to a McD’s in Brooklyn Heights in 1997, and the occasional winter glass of Bailey’s over ice, the insanely decadent St. Paddy’s day drink roster at the relatively new GO Burger on Sunset and Vine is tempting. Maybe I’ll recruit someone to join me for a Leprechaun spiked milkshake, with its three scoops of vanilla ice cream, Bailey’s, crème de menthe, and green maraschino (yikes!). Or the All Nighter with Kahlua, Bailey’s, espresso, coffee ice cream. Keith’s Quencher (pictured), which mixes Guinness Stout and coffee ice cream, should satisfy beer float fans. Meanwhile, the kids can sit back and sip those relatively benign whatever color milkshakes.
